Chief of Vascular Surgery, Evagelical Hospital Bergisch Gladbach, Academic Teaching Hospital of the University of Cologne
I am a board-certified specialist in both General Surgery and Vascular Surgery. Since 2019, I have served as Chief of the Department of Vascular Surgery at Evangelical Hospital in Bergisch Gladbach, an academic teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Cologne. Before taking on this role, I spent over ten years in academic clinical work and research at the university hospital Cologne, with a strong focus on aortic aneurysm surgery. I have authored numerous publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals. In addition to my clinical work, I am actively involved in academic teaching and have served
as a lecturer for medical students and surgical trainees for many years. As a university-level instructor (Privatdozent), I continue to contribute to the education and mentoring of future
physicians and surgeons.
I am also frequently invited as a proctor for complex vascular procedures in various countries, including the United Arab Emirates and Serbia. Furthermore, my academic cooperation
agreement with Cairo University enables both scientific collaboration and clinical exchange, strengthening international medical partnerships.
With extensive experience in both surgery and research, I am committed to developing individualized, evidence-based treatment strategies tailored to each patient, while
incorporating the latest advancements in vascular medicine.
